Today at the ‘office’ the subject of addiction came up in conversation. The specifics related to tobacco, as opposed to any other substance however; addiction has a relevance to all manner of substance and for that matter, even some behaviours to an extent.
I have always believed that many so-called ‘addictions’ are more the result of habit and/or peer pressure, often compounded by ambient circumstances and social factors. It appears I’m not alone with that assumption…
